‘Lim Tae -kyung’s 2nd consecutive victory’ Korea U19 Modern Five Teams, World Championships

(Sports Seoul | Reporter Kim Dong -young) The Korean U19 Modern Five National Team will participate in the 2025 U19 World Championships, which will be held in Lithuania Druscinin Kai from 20th to 23rd.

Last year, four people will participate in two consecutive years, including Lim Tae -kyung (Gyeonggi -do), Kim Gun -ha (Gyeonggi -do), Hur Min -joon (Jeonnam -do), and Kim Ye -rim (Gyeonggi -do).

Based on last year’s experience, they will show a more mature game. Furthermore, it aims to enter the medal.

The player to notice is the male male Lim Tae -kyung. Following last year’s U19 World Championships, he will challenge two consecutive victories.

Lim Tae -kyung scored 1521 points in the men’s solo exhibition of the U19 World Championships held in Lithuania Druus Kinin Kai last year, beating Agabrilo Idenis (1515 points, Italy) and Hassan Mohamed (1513 points, Egypt).

The U19 World Championships are the stages of the highest prestigious youth of five sports, including swimming, fencing, obstacles, and laser runs (athletics+shooting), and more than 20 prospects competing at the top of the world every year.

In this stage, Korean high school players under the age of 19 are selected as representatives, and experience and records on the world stage are important for the future international competitions and growth.

The U19 national team is led by coach Moon Ye -rin, Jeon Jung -min and Hong Geum -pyo. The men’s department will be played by Lim Tae -kyung, Kim Gun -ha, Bae Joon -soo (Lee Sang -go), Choi Ji -woong (Gwangju Shenggo) Hur Min -jun (Jeonnam High School) Park In -chan (Gyeongbuk High School). The women’s departments are Kim Ye -rim and Seo Jang -ah (Chungnam -do).
