Gangwon FC received an application for the home game in 2026 for Chuncheon and Gangneung City from 22nd to 5th of this month, but only Gangneung -si submitted the application.
Kangwon held a re -opening performance until 3 pm on the 12th. If you apply for Gangneung City alone in the reorganization, Gangwon’s 2026 K -League and Korea Cup Homesopes will be held in Gangneung -si.
Gangwon is playing a home game by traveling between Gangneung High1 Arena and Chuncheon Songam Sports Town, in accordance with the distribution of home stadiums with Chuncheon -si and Gangneung -si three years ago.

Kim Jin -tae, Governor of Gangwon -do and Kim Byung -ji, CEO of Gangwon FC, urged to withdraw the competitive bidding method that promotes more conflicts, and seek a win -win plan for Chuncheon and Gangneung to develop together.
However, the Gangwon FC team is undergoing competitions on the same way and conditions as the same method and condition as three years ago to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings, unlike some political points.
If the club sets the home venue as a random evaluation rather than the support fund, Chuncheon City, which is thirteen than Gangneung City, is inevitable in the number of spectators, seasonal sales, and grass management.
This is why the soccer industry argues that the decision is open to both Chuncheon and Gangneung -si for this competition.
Even if the Gangwon FC team wants to hold a diversification, if Chuncheon does not apply within the re -opening period, Gangwon will have to conduct all home games in Gangneung next year.
An official who was bright in the K -League situation said, “If the club has a decentralized consultation with Chuncheon City (because of controversy), it is inevitable that this is a reverse discrimination against Gangneung -si, which has participated in the competition normally.”
