Hamid Derakhshan: I made Mustafavi lawful but broke my heart / In the derby the referee Persepolis should not win
The former Persepolis boss explicitly says he has not forgotten the past, but Darius Mustafavi is lawful.
Former Persepolis coach Hamid Derakhshan saw strange adventures in the team as Dariush Mostafavi headed the Iranian Football Federation. We chat with brilliantly about the death of Dariush Khan and of course Persepolis related adventures:
Let’s start with Persepolis. How do you see things?

Persepolis was 2-0, but just after we scored the second goal, it was as if the referee had to change and Persepolis should not have been out of the field, so the whistle was changed, and eventually the match was half -finished when it was 2-1. Three hours after the match, Mr. Mostafavi announced Persepolis 3-0, and the number of our disadvantaged was far greater than independence. In that game I was not on the account of Mr. Mostafavi’s account, but I was a victim of his dispute with others. Of course, whatever it was, and as I said, I made Darius Khan lawful.

I talked to Mr. Mohammad just yesterday. Fortunately, his healing process is going through, and I hope the situation is such that there is no need for dispatch at all and that everything will be done in Iran. I also urge all people to pray for one of the unforgettable figures of Iranian football.
Panjali was the captain of Persepolis and the national team. He has even led the team at a time. Do you think the Persepolis club are pursuing its lasting face these days?
Must follow. Sir must follow. How many Mohammad Panjali had in Iranian football? Can such a great player become ill and his club will not pursue his situation? I do not judge and I don’t know if Persepolis have done something in this regard, but if Persepolis’ club is not following the situation of Mohammad Panjali, it is the most graceful club in the world. Again, I insist that I do not judge Persepolis at all and I don’t know if they were following the status of the fifth, but if not, they have been greatly great. The likes of Hamid Derakhshan or other pioneers have worked for Persepolis for thirty years in this football and have left their youth, but not only are their experiences but they do not even get us. This is the custom of our football, but at least about Mohammad Panjali behave differently, gentlemen.
Is it all the years when the Persepolis club have called you and invite Hamid Derakhshan to watch one of the team’s matches at Azadi Stadium?
No sir. This has never happened. The gentlemen have not even bothered themselves and do not say invite the captain and coach of the team to Azadi Stadium once to watch his beloved team’s game closely. My likes that we do not want money from Persepolis, and during our football, we didn’t actually get money from Persepolis, but I wish they didn’t remember how important it is to respect the pioneer and bigger in the sport.
Of course, this is not limited to Persepolis in independence and the national team is the same. We did not remember that Ali Parvin once interviewed and said that he would go to the stadium every time he would not be stopped in front of him.
Yes it is a very bitter thing. Really, if one day they treat me such a day, I will never go for exercise. We have so many great nationals. We have so many pioneers of independence and Persepolis, but shouldn’t you have a small part of the Freedom Stadium to your pioneers and provide them with a few seats to easily watch their favorite national team or their favorite team whenever they like?
