2025 F1 Austrian Grand Prix 3rd results and timesheet. On Saturday, June 28th, the 11th round of the 2025 F1 World Championship, Austrian Grand Prix, Free Practice 3 (FP3), was held at the Red Bull Rink.
Rand Norris (McLaren) was the first time, followed by Oscar Piastri (McLaren) in second place, and Max Verstappen (Red Bull) in third place. Tsunoda Yuki (Red Bull) was in 9th place.
McLaren once again 1-2, Norris is the fastest time
Rand Norris took the lead with a minute 04.324 seconds, and teammate Oscar Piastri was second only 0.118 seconds behind. Following on from the previous day’s FP2, McLaren F1 has once again established a 1-2 structure, showing good results throughout the weekend.
Tsunoda Yuki is in 9th place, showing signs of recovery
Tsunoda Yuki recorded a minute of 1 minute 05.139 seconds with a final attack, taking the lead in 9th place. There was a spin on Turn 1, but the qualifying simulations solidly put together the times, and expectations for advancing to Q3 were high.
A lot of spins, and yellow flags continued at the end
Verstappen, Tsunoda, Leclerc, and Hager all sped in different locations, and Yellow Flag was released intermittently towards the end. Due to the limitations of the tires and the heat, there were many situations where they lost their grip.
Verstappen is third and has a spin in the final corner.
Max Verstappen recorded third place time with a minute of 1 minute 04.534 seconds. He showed solid rap in front of the audience, but in his final attack he suffered a spin in the final corner, causing damage to the tires.
Piastri’s machine is tape repaired, but still second.
Piastri suffered minor damage to the floor, but he re-runs as first aid and recorded purple in the first sector in the qualifying simulation. He ultimately became second only to Norris, demonstrating McLaren’s overall strength.
