HNS on the scandal of a member of Dinamo’s management: ‘It is an omission, we will improve internal procedures’
Dinamo board member Danijel Tomačić made an incomprehensible move, which is why Muse is preparing for a potential dismissal.
Member of the Board of Dinamo Danijel Tomačić in September, he was a delegate at the Cup match, in the sixteenth round of the Croatian Cup finals, between Samobor and Locomotives. This is against Article 115 of the Law on Sports, which considers such actions as a conflict of interest. The controller was at that match Bruno Marić.
Tomačić has been in Dinamo’s management for a little over a year and a half. Together with Podnar and Šimić, he joined the Dinamo Board in March 2023, as a director of Lana Grupa, i.e. as a representative of the then important club member, Nikola Hanžela.
Index sent an inquiry to HNS as to how this could happen, so the Association sent the following response:
“It is common for delegates to be active sports workers in clubs or county associations at the same time. In doing so, care is taken that delegates in a certain level of competition are not active in the club in the same level of competition.
Therefore, in this case, it is a failure of the Commission for the organization of the Croatian Football Cup because Mr. Tomačić should not have been delegated to the Cup 1/16 final match. The Croatian Football Association will improve internal procedures so that such an omission does not happen again in the future.”they answered us from HNS.
