The championships of Afghanistan’s zones started in Herat
On Monday, the 14th of Scorpio, the championships of the Afghan football zones were opened with the participation of five teams, hosted by the city of Herat, Afghanistan.
These competitions will be held in the form of a league between the five teams that have the title of champion in the zones of Afghanistan, each team will hold four matches on a one-way basis, and at the end, the teams that finish first and second will participate in the Afghanistan Football Champions League.
The teams of Sarafan Herat, Pirouzi Kabul, Harun Popel Helmand, Nangarhar Kelp and Yaran Noor Balkh are the five teams present in this competition. In the opening game, which was held yesterday, Monday, Herat’s cashiers and Pirouzi Youths reached a 0-0 draw.
Today, Tuesday, the 15th of Aqrab, two matches will be held in this competition. In the first match, the teams of Haroon Popel, Helmand and Nangarhar Kelp will compete at 1:00 pm, and in the second match, Yaran Noor from Balkh will win with Kabul at 3:00 pm Afghanistan time. They face each other.
The two teams that win the championship and runner-up in this competition will enter the Afghanistan Football Champions League for 2025. The Afghanistan Football Champions League will be held every year from 2021 onwards, and Herat Energy Attack won two championships and Herat Red Hats won one championship. The best teams in the history of this competition. The Afghanistan Football Champions League was not held in 2023 due to the lack of funds and sponsors.
