Today, the selection committee of the Afghanistan cricket board announced the initial list of 20 players for the one-off test match against New Zealand, who are going to participate in a training camp in India. The said team is supposed to move to the said country on the 28th of this month (August).

According to the officials of the selection committee of the country’s cricket board, the said camp will start on August 29 in the city of Greater Noida, India, and at the end of this training camp, the list of players will be announced for the one-off test match against New Zealand.

According to Mr. Ahmad Shah Suleimankhil, the head of the selection committee of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, 20 players have been selected for the aforementioned training camp, and at the end of this camp, taking into account the playing condition and ability of the players, 15 of them will be selected for the one-off Test match against New Zealand. Afghan players should shine well in this match.

In the mentioned list, Heshmatullah Shahidi (captain), Ebrahim Zadran, Riaz Hasan, Abdul Malik, Rahmat Shah, Bhair Shah Mehboob, Ikram Alikhil (wicket keeper), Shahidullah Kamal, Golbedin Naib, Afsar Zazi (wicket keeper), Azmatullah Omarzai, Ziaur Rahman Akbar, Shamsur Rahman, Qais Ahmad, Zahir Khan, Nejat Masoud, Farid Ahmad Malek, Navid Zadran, Khalil Ahmad and Yama Arab are included.
