The Korea Baseball Commission (KBO) selected eight all -stars to compete in the All -Star Game Home Run Derby held at Hanwha Life Ball Park in Daejeon on the 11th.
Through the fan voting held on July 1-3, Ahn Hyun -min (2,7053 votes), Lewin Diaz (2,1871 votes), Choi Jung (17,7105), Hanwha Eagles Moon Hyun -bin (1,596 votes), Kiwoom Heroes Song Sung -moon (13,395 votes) LG (LG) Twins Park Dong -won (12,797 votes) and Kiwoom were confirmed. LG (LG) Twins Austin Dean won 13,934 votes and ranked fifth in the fan voting, but injured in the All -Star game. Therefore, Lee Joo -hyung, who ranked 9th in the fan voting, is on the home run derby instead of Austin.
The home run derby will be introduced in addition to the existing ‘out -based’ method. You can hit the number of pitches for two minutes without limit in the number of pitches, and even after the time limit is over, you can hit two out in the qualifiers and until the finals are 3 out in the finals. In addition, the qualifiers and finals can be used for up to 30 seconds for each time.
The home run derby winner will be awarded the Galaxy S25 Ultra with a trophy and a prize of 5 million won. The runner -up athletes will receive a trophy and a prize of 1 million won, and LG Stan Bami 2 will be available for the longest home run.
