German media reaction to Hashemian coaching in Persepolis

The German media, with the special cover of Vahid Hashemian’s selection as Persepolis coach, called the decision a turning point in Iranian coaching history.

Yesterday, Vahid Hashemian was officially selected as Persepolis coach.

The German media “Stern” wrote: “Persepolis football club has selected the most prestigious Iranian team of former Bundesliga and former Iranian national football player.

Vahid Hashemian played for the Iranian national team during his career and played in the German Bundesliga for nearly a decade. He has a history of competing in the Hamburg, Bayern Munich, Hanover 2 and Bochum teams.

After the end of the game, the Hamburg club appointed Hashemian as its under -5 coach in the regional league. He served as an assistant to the Iranian national team a year later.

Hashemian has lived in Germany for more than five years and had been nicknamed the “helicopter” because of his high power during the game.
