(Official) Daejeon completely recruits ‘core midfielder’ Babsin… “I’m happy to remain in K-League 1… I hope we rise to a higher level”

(MHN Sports Reporter Geum Yun-ho) Daejeon Hana Citizen, who fell to the bottom of K-League 1 this season and was on the verge of relegation, finished the regular season in 9th place and confirmed their retention, completely possessing the ‘nucleus of the midfield’.
On the 3rd, Daejeon officially announced, “We have completely recruited key resource midfielder Babsin.”
Previously, Daejeon recruited Babsin on loan from CD Santa Clara of Portugal’s Primeira Liga last July. Babsin contributed to the team’s rebound in the second half of the season by playing a key role in the midfield, appearing in 13 games in Daejeon and recording 1 assist.
Daejeon, who appreciated his contributions, fully recruited Babshin, stabilizing the midfield for the 2025 season and consolidating its power building.
Babsin stood out in the Brazilian age group national team. Last year, he moved on loan to Daegu FC under the registered name Beltola and entered the K-League stage, scoring 2 goals in 26 games until the first half of this year and being selected as one of the Best 11 of the Round 5 times.
Daejeon, which hired Babshin, whose main position is central midfielder, on loan last summer, successfully recruited him completely, valuing his outstanding physique, high activity level, stable game management, and ability to coordinate offense and defense.
Babsin said, “It is an honor to permanently transfer to Daejeon. It was a difficult season, but I am happy to remain in K-League 1. I felt that Daejeon is a team with a big vision and ambition, so I wanted my family and I to remain with the team.”
He continued, “I hope that the team will rise to a higher level through more preparation next year. Next year may be a more difficult year for not only me but also my teammates, so I want to prepare more and show better soccer.” He expressed his feelings.
