The Korean Table Tennis Association has been disciplined by Yoo Seung -min, former chairman of the Korea Table Tennis Association (now Korea Sports President). Kim Taek -soo, former executive director of the Korea Table Tennis Association (now Jincheon National Representative Village), was also sentenced to rejoin.
The two were required to be disciplined by the Sports Ethics Center for unfair payment of incentives related to sponsorship and donation and replacing the list of national teams when serving as executive director with the President of the Table Tennis Association.
The Korean Table Tennis Association held the Sports Fair Commission on the 30th of last month and issued a disciplinary action to the two.
Earlier, the Sports Ethics Center said that the Table Tennis Association provided an incentive that 10%of the sponsorship was not approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In addition, the replacement of the national team recommendation athletes decided by the Association’s Power Improvement Committee was also a violation of the procedure, and demanded disciplinary action against former and current executives of the table tennis association.
However, the Table Tennis Association’s Sports Fair Commission has made the lowest level of rebirth.
The Table Tennis Association’s Sports Fair Commission is not judged to be a business division in consideration of the fact that Kim Taek -soo, who received an incentive of attracting 10%of the donation in 2021, was executed in accordance with the association’s fund management regulations. In addition, the introduction of incentives at that time was reported to have been introduced by the Association to overcome the financial crisis in difficult situations such as Corona 19. The vice chairman of the Hyun Jung -hwa Association has been dismissed after three years of disciplinary aging.
