Shocking ’30-6′ score… Doosan breaks record for most points scored in one game against KIA
The Doosan Bears scored the most points in a single game in KBO (Korea Baseball Organization) League history against the KIA Tigers.
On the 31st, Doosan recorded 28 hits and 14 walks, including four home runs, in an away game against KIA in the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League held at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju, winning a whopping 30 to 6.
With this, Doosan broke the record for most points in a game set by the Samsung Lions in May 1997 when they defeated the LG Twins 27 to 5 for the first time in 27 years. Doosan, which devastated the KIA mound with all of its starting batters recording hits and runs, even won by the largest margin of victory in history.
Meanwhile, the most points scored in a single game in Major League Baseball (MLB) is the 30 points scored by the Texas Rangers in a visiting game against the Baltimore Orioles in August 2007. At that time, Texas won a landslide 30-3 victory with 29 hits and 8 walks, including 6 home runs, and set a new record for the most runs scored since 1900, when the current baseball rules were applied.
