‘Shooting God’ Hong Jae -won, IPSC Action Air World Championship Junior Champion

(Sports Seoul | Reporter Shin Jae -yu) Korea’s prospect of practical shooting, Hong Jae -won (17), is attracting great attention as it won the first junior world champion title in Korea at the international practical shooting competition.
In the 2nd IPSC Action Air World Championship, hosted by the International Practical Shooting Federation (IPSC) on August 3 (local time), Hong Jae -won won the gold medal in the Air Production Optics – Junior. More than 400 athletes from around 20 countries around the world participated in the tournament, and Hong took the first place with calm competition and sophisticated shooting technology in the intense competition.
In the event, Wang YuWang in China, and Finland’s Sievänen Leo in third place were named.
This win is the first junior world champion in Korean practical shooting history, and at the same time, it is also a great place to win both ‘World Shooting Medal’ and ‘IPSC Chairman’.
IPSC Korea said, “Hong Jae -won’s winning championship shows the potential of Korean shooting sports, and it is expected to continue to play in the future.”
