K -League 1 Jeonbuk establishes a ‘testing rap’ analyzing player data

(Seoul = News) Ahn Kyungnam Reporter = Professional football K -League 1 Jeonbuk Hyundai announced on the 5th that it has built a ‘high performance testing lab’ that measures and analyzes the body data.

Testing Lab is a space that measures the physical core elements of the players, such as the muscle strength, nerves, joints and blood, and analyzes data through advanced equipment.

Each joint strength, such as knee and ankles, is measured by the constant muscle strength measuring instruments, and the muscle and functions of the hamstrings and hip joints are also tested as a separate advanced equipment to help the athlete’s recovery time and match.

In addition, the body composition and blood indicator tests the players’ body fat and blood testing to prevent injuries by checking physiological functions and metabolism such as fatigue and recovery.

The data measured in the testing lab is prepared by the Jeonbuk Data Scientist to input and visualize it in the database, share information with the coaching staff and the profiling in each part to provide the best performance in the stadium.

The Jeonbuk FC plans to achieve a complex goal of maximizing the performance of athletes and reducing the injury rate by conducting customized training and recovery programs based on measured data.

An official from Jeonbuk said, “Testing Lab is a strategic space beyond simple testing space, analyzing the team’s performance trends in the long term, and accumulated data will be a big asset for the team.”

“We will implement the testing lab system to the youth team in the future, and build a data linkage and network between the youth-pro to establish a player management system that enables continuous development.”
