Ki Sung -yong, who left Seoul, and a record of 200 games in the K -League 1 in Pohang’s two games

(MHN Choi Jun -seo intern reporter) Ki Sung -yong achieved a record of 200 games in the K -League.

Ki Sung -yong completed a meaningful record by starting the match between the Hana Bank K -League 1 2025 and the 23rd round of Pohang Steelers and Suwon FC. Following the 198 games in FC Seoul, he added two games in Pohang to play the K -League 1 200 match.

Ki Sung -yong quickly attracted attention after his professional debut in FC Seoul in 2006. It was selected as the K -League Best 11 in 2008 and 2009, and in 2008 he was named the youngest best 11 winner.

Since then, Ki Sung -yong has grown on the European stage such as Celtic, Swansea City, Sunderland, and Newcastle United, and has become a core player in the midfield in the Korean national team.

In 2020, Ki Sung -yong, who finished his life abroad, returned to Seoul, the debut team. After returning, he played the center of the team in the midfield, and also achieved record records of 500 games in his personal professional.

Ki Sung -yong, who had been doing ‘legend’ in Seoul, moved to Pohang on the 3rd of last month. Ki Sung -yong, who failed to occupy the main position during the return of injury, chose to transfer for more time.

Ki Sung -yong made his Pohang debut in the 22nd round of Jeonbuk Hyundai War immediately after the transfer, and achieved 200 games in the 23rd round of Suwon FC.

Pohang announced on the 4th that it will hold a 200 -game award for Ki Sung -yong in the 25th round of Gwangju FC.

Ki Sung -yong, who returned to the K -League after traveling to the overseas stage, is still loved by domestic fans based on his rich experience and class, and continues to be unchanged with a new uniform.
