Korean Men’s Gyeyoung 800m World Championship 5th… Achievement of new records in China and Asian


The Korean men’s 800m national team finished the 2025 World Swimming Federation World Championships in Singapore on the 1st (7:02:29). Last year, he expected to win medals for two consecutive years following the silver medal, but did not achieve a goal.
The men’s 800m national team played the race in the order of Kim Young -bum, Kim Woo -min (Lee Sang -do), Lee Ho -jun (Jeju City Hall), and Hwang Sun -woo (Gangwon -do Office). The qualifying record was 7 minutes 04 seconds 68 (3rd overall).
Kim Young -bum, the first runner, turned the first 50m section to the second place, but afterwards, the ranks were pushed to seventh place to the next runner. Kim Woo -min raised the ranking to third place with the fastest pace of the four players, but was pushed back to fifth in the third runner, and the ranking did not change even in the fourth runner.
The UK, who won the Paris Olympics last year, won the first place with a record of 6:59:84, and China won the silver medal with a new Asian record of 7 minutes 00 seconds 91. The bronze medal is Australia (7 minutes 00 seconds 98).
Korea has continued to achieve 800m in men’s Gye -young. In the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, he wrote a new Asian record (7:01:73) and harvested the first Asian Games gold medal in the Korean swimming team. In February last year, Doha won the first medal in the world championship team. Last year, Paris won the finals for the first time in the Olympics, ranking sixth in all history. However, the world championship also gave China a new record.
