The Korean men’s 800m national team will enter the world swimming championship finals and challenge the winning medals for two consecutive times.

The national team ranked third among the 16 participating countries with a record of 7:04:68 in the 2025 World Swimming Federation World Championship Men’s 800m qualifiers held in Singapore on the 1st. Kim Young -bum, Kim Woo -min (Lee Sang -do Gangwon -do), Lee Ho -jun (Jeju City Hall), and Hwang Sun -woo (Gangwon -do Office) were played in the order of Kim Young -bum. Kim Young -bum recorded his best record in the 200m section record (1:45 seconds 72). Kim Woo -min (1:46 seconds 09), Lee Ho -jun (1:46 seconds 76), and Hwang Sun -woo (1:46 seconds 11) all the four players finished the race stably.

Gyeyoung 800m is a group exhibition where four players are free to races by 200m freestyle. The first place in the qualifying round is the UK (7:03:98) and the second place is Australia (7:04:32).

The finals of the top eight countries start at 9:39 that night. Korea has been able to achieve good results in the 800m male Gye -young. In the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, he wrote a new Asian record (7:01:73) and harvested the first Asian Games gold medal in the Korean swimming team. In February last year, Doha won the first medal in the world championship team. Last year, the Paris Olympics won the finals for the first time in the Olympics, ranking sixth in all history.
