The season, when there were many draws, was 2021. At that time, the drew game was dumped due to the abolition of extra time in the second half due to the spread of Corona 19. Except for 2021, the year was recorded in 2004 (24 times).
In 2004, the game was operated a bit. The regulations have been changed so that four hours after the game is pointed out that the economy is so stretched, such as the game near midnight. Because of this regulation, Lotte Giants also set a record of the highest win in one season (11 times). In the Korean series, there were three draws, and the series continued until the 9th game. With the side effects, the game time restrictions disappeared in one season.
In 1993, except in 2021 and 2004, the season was the highest season. At the time, 18 draws (3.6%of the total) came out in the season.
Increasing the draw is irrelevant to the reduction of overtime. The KBO League has shortened the overtime of 12 times this year, which was operated by 12 regular leagues due to pitcher protection, with the introduction of the pitch clock. Last year, which had been over 12 times, 46 games (77.9%) out of 59 extra time ended 11 times. At the supervisor meeting, there was also an extension of the 10th. If it was an extension of the 10th, there would be more draws.
In order to make the pitcher protection fast, it is worth considering the introduction of overtime (starting attacks at second base) like the major league (MLB), but the field directors are reluctant.
