Kim Sang-sik, Vietnam’s U-23 soccer team ASEAN Championship 3 consecutive victories

The Vietnam 23-year-old (U-23) soccer team, led by Kim Sang-sik, won three consecutive ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) championships.
The Vietnam 23-year-old soccer team beat Indonesia 1-0 with the goal of Nguyen Tonguong in the 37th minute in the 2025 AFF U-23 Championship Finals held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 29th. Vietnam was at the top of the competition three consecutive times in 2022 and 2023.
The tournament began in 2005, and Vietnam has only lifted trophy more than once.
Kim Sang -sik led the A national team in January this year and won the 2024 Mitsubishi Cup. It was not even former director Park Hang -seo who led the winning championship.
Kim said, “We are proud of our athletes to fight without giving up until the end. Thank you very much for the Vietnamese people and football fans for supporting them.”
Kim Sang-sik resigned from the K-League 1 Jeonbuk Hyundai Command Tower and took office as the Vietnam A team headquarters in May last year. The contract period is until March 31, 2026.
