Four consecutive freestyle 200m World Championships have been missed, but the solo exhibition is not over. Hwang Sun -woo (22, Gangwon -do Office) will advance to the free 100m semi -finals and challenge the solo medal once again in this competition.

Hwang Sun -woo won the eighth place (47 seconds 94) in the 2025 World Swimming Federation World Championship men’s freestyle 100m qualifiers held in Kalang, Singapore, on the 30th. In the 200m finals of the day before, he was fourth in 0.18 seconds, and set up a stage to soothe the podium.

Hwang Sun -woo stood out at 100m with a freestyle 200m. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Freestyle 100m Semi -finals held in 2021, he recorded a record of 47 seconds and 56 in Korea, set a record of Korean records and Asian records. Since then, he has won the world championship podium for three consecutive times, including 200m, 2022 Budapest, 2023 Fukuoka Tournament (Bronze Medal), and 2024 Dose (Gold Medal), but did not give affection for freestyle 100m.

He also expressed his aspiration that he would do his best to play with the management of the 200m final on the 29th.

The first place in the qualifiers was the 200m gold medalist Romania David Popovic (47 seconds 41). The 2024 Paris Olympics Men’s Freestyle 100m Gold Medalist Panzhou (China) ranked sixth with a record of 47 seconds 86.

The men’s freestyle 100m semi -finals will be held at 8:27 pm on the night. The final is at 8:32 pm on the 31st.

Kim Seung -won (15, composed), who participated in the 50m backstroke of the women’s backstroke, also ranked seventh (27 seconds 75) and advanced to the semi -finals. Women’s butterfly 200m Park Soo -jin (26, Gyeongbuk Provincial Office) won the semi -final ticket with 16th place (2 minutes 10 seconds 17). Kim Min -seok (24, Jeonju City Hall), 200m, was unable to win the semi -finals with 26 (2:01 seconds 61).
