Georgian defender Golsiani spoke to football about the behavior of Persepolis club executives, but claimed that the sweet days of attending the club would always remain in his memoirs.

*After the end of the season, there were rumors about your return to Persepolis. Did you talk to the club’s management or technical staff to renew the contract?

After the end of the season, I was really ready to continue my time in Persepolis. There was a strong emotional and heart relationship with the club and the fans, and I still believed that I could still help the team inside and outside the pitch. But despite some unofficial signs, there was no serious talk or formal talks on the club to extend the contract with me. I was ready, but unfortunately the initiative was not in the hands of the club, and begging is not my ethics. I continue to practice as a warrior every day to provide a better version of myself.

*You left Persepolis when the fans were hoping to stay in the club. What do you think was the main reason for your separation?

I haven’t heard a clear reason, such issues occur in football, and sometimes decisions are made without complete explanation. Some said maybe it was because of my injuries. Of course, I had a knee problem that could be controlled by specialized treatment and exercises, but that was the problem I had years before I came to Iran. The important thing is that I was always ready to play and rarely missed even a match because of injury. I was always professional and ready, so I don’t know exactly what the club’s reason was to finish collaboration, but I respect the club’s decision. These issues are also part of football, and I continue my own way. The most important thing was that I was separated from the club with good pride and memories.

*You were upset that the club didn’t have a record for your hundred games in Persepolis. How do you feel about how the club is treated? Is this annoyance?

We have to be realistic. I played a hundred games for Persepolis, which is a great honor for every player, especially the foreign player. I am proud of this achievement and I thought it was worthy of respecting this achievement. Expected to give me a special shirt before the game, or at rest between half, or after the game; As a small and symbolic move to thank and appreciate the fans. This is common in any country that has professional football. This is not a particular subject or a big move and is just a respectable fate.

I always try to look at things from the club’s point of view. After the game, I went to the dressing room and took a shower, and when he left, a responsible person gave me a shirt with a number 1 shirt that was inside a bag. But I didn’t accept that dress and it is still not a shirt before me. Later, the club said that because we didn’t win the league, it was not interesting to give you this shirt in front of the fans. In Iran, they are usually scored and welcome to new players, but I have rarely seen a friendly and warm farewell. If they didn’t intend to set my contract, they would have to inform me at the same time, and that was the whole reality.

*Persepolis has recently attracted Hussein Abaghui of Khorramabad. Do you know her? Do you think it will help the team?

I do not know Hussein Abiqoui personally, but I wish him successfully. Wearing a club shirt like Persepolis is a great honor, and I hope he will accept his responsibility well and overcome the existing challenges. I wholeheartedly wish him success.

*Ismail Cartal is separated from Persepolis and Vahid Hashemian was appointed as the new manager. Do you know Vahid Hashemian? Do you think he can succeed the team?

Yes, I know Vahid Hashemian. We met several times and he has always had a positive effect on me. Vahid Hashemian is a respectable and respected man, and I think he is well acquainted with modern football conditions. I wish Vahid Hashemian in this new challenge. The guidance of a club like Persepolis is not an easy task, but I hope he is successful and achieved great honors with Persepolis.

*You have reached the record for three games in three seasons and you were the top foreign scorer in the history of the club. How do you describe your era in Persepolis?

My time in Persepolis was great for me. Every day, I was trying to practice all the competitions. To become the best foreign scorer and 100 games in three seasons is a great honor, but most importantly for me, it was the relationship I had with my fans and teammates. It was a great honor for me to be part of the history of the club and I would always keep these memories in my mind.

*You had offers in the summer of last summer, but you decided to stay in Persepolis. After a show of loyalty and fanaticism, did you expect the club to behave differently?

The game in the Euro was a turning point in my record, but now I really don’t care. That era was about the past, but football only matters today and tomorrow, and everything is focused on the present and the future. What was the reaction of the club? Now it doesn’t matter anymore. The important thing was how I responded. In the last few weeks, I have been training harder than ever and training for 2 to 4 hours a day. I never had a heavy plan. This experience has not defeated me, but it has increased my motivation and I strongly focused on the future.

*Iranian football fans describe you as a quality, courageous and moral defender. What message do you have for Iranian football fans?

I really thank all the football fans in Iran. Your support was very valuable to me. From the first day I entered Iranian football, not only as a player, but as a human being, I felt your respect, welcome and appreciation, and that’s what I will never forget. I played with all your might and every minute, every challenge, every flower was important to me. Instead you gave me love and support that this behavior will always remain in my heart. I am proud to wear Persepolis’ shirt and always respect that experience and that era. This is not a farewell to me, but just the end of a season.
