Afghanistan’s under-17 team won 9-0 against Macau in the qualifiers of the Asian Nations Cup

In the continuation of the preliminary competition of the Asian Under-17 Football Nations Cup, on Wednesday, the second day of the Scorpion, the teams of Afghanistan and Macau played against each other, and the Afghan team won the match 9-0.

This match was held today at 1:30 pm Afghanistan time at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Afghan team defeated the Philippines by 8-0 in their first match on Monday. Before that match, the Philippine team had defeated Macao with 7-0.

In this match, Mohammad Noorzai scored Afghanistan’s first goal, then Waris Shirzai scored two goals, Arash Ahmadi, Sahil Sarwari, Nasir Ahmad Mohammadi, Navid Mahboubi, Waris Razaghi and Yaser Safi scored one goal each.

The preliminary competitions of the Under-17 Asian Football Nations Cup have started on Thursday, 29 Mayan, with the participation of 43 teams in ten groups, hosted by ten different Asian cities. The Afghanistan team is grouped in Group “B” with the Philippines, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Macau. If Afghanistan wins this group, it will directly advance to the 2025 Under-17 Football Nations Cup, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.

Among the top ten teams, the top five teams of the second groups will also advance to the Asian Under-17 Football Nations Cup.

The national football team of Afghanistan under the age of seventeen will hold its third competition on Friday, the fourth of Scorpio at 4:30 pm Kabul time against the Cambodian team, the host of group “B”. This match is also held at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The Afghanistan team will play against the Bangladesh team in their last competition on Sunday, the 6th of Aqrab, which is the last day of the Asian Under-17 Football Nations Cup qualifiers. The match will be held at 1:30 pm Kabul time in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. On this day, all fifteen teams that finish first and second in their groups will qualify for the Asian U17 Football Nations Cup.
