Lee Jae -woong (Armed Forces Sports Corps), a 1500m record for men’s athletics, rebuilt his record in a month and pulled his record for two seconds.

Lee Jae -woong won the championship at 3:36 seconds 01 in the 1500m finals of the 2025 Hokrendenist Challenge 4th Men’s Fourth Tournament held at the Dongneung Park Athletics Stadium in Hokkaido, Japan on the 16th. Last month, he advanced his Korean record (3:38 seconds 55) 2 seconds 54. Lee Jae -woong’s 1500m Korean record was 3 minutes 38 seconds 60 set by Kim Soon -hyung in 1993.

Lee Jae -woong said immediately after the game, “We want to show that we can continue to do it, and we will run with a big goal toward Asia and the world beyond the Korean record.”

In the women’s 1500m match, Park Na -yeon (Wonju City Hall) passed the finish line with 4 minutes 14 seconds 25 records and won the silver medal. Park Na -yeon advanced 0.55 seconds of the Korean record (4 minutes 14 seconds 80) that she had previously renewed. It is a general Korean record. The Korean record was 4 minutes 14 seconds 18, set by Lee Mi -kyung, a high school student in 1992.
