Persepolis women coach resigned too/ I didn’t get the players

Shadi Rezaei, the head coach of the Persepolis women’s football team, who recently resigned in a conversation with Mehr, said about the reasons for the decision: “There was no pressure from the club. It was a completely personal decision. After reviewing the circumstances, I came to the conclusion that the continuation of the cooperation was not appropriate and I decided not to be with the team anymore.

“The reality is that our planning for the new season has had problems,” he said. One of the most important concerns was the recruitment of the player. The club could not go as the list I had presented as a manager, and my players were practically not attracted to. Unfortunately, many of the players went to other teams, and this was not acceptable to me as the technical officer.

Rezai emphasized: I do not like to lead a team that is not technically capable of competing. The Persepolis women’s team had a high capacity for successful presence in the league, and it is a pity that this potential is overlooked. We won the championship title with all the hardships last season and advanced to the Premier League, but this year a different path was taken.

“We were supposed to start training in late July, but I decided to resign because of lack of conditions, including the low number of players and lack of basic facilities,” he said. It is important for me to get into the tournament at the start of the season, not with concern and uncertainty, so it decided not to be with Persepolis.

The head coach of the Persepolis women’s football team said about the possibility of his return to the team: The club has not officially agreed with my resignation, but on the other hand, the situation has not changed. We are currently expecting to see what the club will decide.

“Our most important problem was the lack of facilities,” he said. For example, we didn’t have the proper training ground. This made us disrupted in technical and training programs. Of course, if we look fairly, last season, despite these problems, the club had good support for us. These are the issues in many other teams, even the men’s team.

“But the difference this year and last year was that none of my technical demands were realized,” he said. It is natural that when you do not have the necessary tools, coaching only remains a name. I have always tried to be responsible, and now that the conditions are not ready, I decided to step down.
