The schedule for holding trilateral cricket matches for nineteen years has been announced
The Afghanistan Cricket Board has published today, Monday, 21 October, the date table for Afghanistan’s 19-year-old cricket trilateral tournament with the teams of Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, which will be held to prepare for the 19-year-old Asian Cricket Nations Cup.
In this table, Afghanistan’s under-19 national cricket team will compete against Pakistan’s under-19 national cricket team in its first competition on 25th of October. Afghanistan will compete against the United Arab Emirates team in its second competition on 28th of Scorpio.
Also, the Afghanistan team will play against the Pakistan team in the return match on the 30th of Scorpio, and on the 4th of October, Afghanistan will compete against the United Arab Emirates in the return match.
In these competitions, where three teams are present, the teams compete in round-robin fashion, the two teams with the most points will enter the finals of this tripartite cup, and the final match will be held on the 6th of Sagittarius.
This tripartite tournament is launched for the preparation of Afghanistan, Pakistan and UAE under-19 cricket teams for the Asian U-19 Cricket Nations Cup.
The 19-year Asian Cricket Nations Cup is scheduled to start on the 9th of Sagittarius with the participation of the top eight teams in Asia hosted by the United Arab Emirates. In this cup, the teams compete in two four-team groups, and the Afghanistan team is grouped with Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka in Group “B”.
The Afghanistan team will compete against Bangladesh in its first match on the 9th of Sagittarius, the second match of Afghanistan will be played against Sri Lanka on the 11th of Sagittarius, and the last match of Afghanistan in the group stage will be held against Nepal on the 13th of Sagittarius.
In Group “A” of the 19-year-old Asia Cricket Cup, the teams of India, Japan, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates are present. In the 2019 Asian Cricket Nations Cup, the top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals.
The Asian Nations Cricket Cup has been held for nineteen years since 1989, so India has a record of eight championships, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh have won the championship once each. Afghanistan’s 19-year-old national cricket team won the tournament in 2017.
