Bayern was heavily penalized for pyrotechnics
The German Football Association fined Bayern Munich EUR 150,000 for the use of pyrotechnics at Ulm’s away game on August 16.
It was the first match of the German Cup, and the Bavarians won convincingly – 4:0 (2:0).
“Munich fans lit at least 70 torches and set off at least four fireworks with light elements and rockets in the 46th minute. Some of them were directed towards the playing field, which is why the game was stopped for three minutes due to thick smoke.”announced the German Football Association.
Bayern’s management accepted the punishment.
