“I did much better than I prepared.”

Hong Myung-bo, who defeated China 3-0 in the opening of the East Asian Cup, expressed satisfaction.

The Korean men’s soccer team, led by Hong Myung-bo, won the 3-0 goal of Lee Dong-kyung (Kimcheon), Ju Min-kyu (Daejeon), and Kim Joo-sung (Seoul) in the match against China’s 2025 East Asian Football Federation (East Asian Cup) Opening match held in Mirstadium, Yongin, Gyeonggi-do.

Hong Myung -bo said in a press conference after the game, “I want to tell you a congratulations to the winning team today.”

“In the early stages of the game, Lee Dong -kyung scored his own advantage, scoring his left foot, and he easily solved the game, and the scoring of the first half of the residents came out well in our preparation.”

The national team took out a new three -back tactic consisting of orthodox center backs such as Park Jin -seop (Jeonbuk), Kim Joo -sung and Park Seung -wook (Pohang). Hong Myung -bo said, “(North and Central America World Cup) 3rd qualifiers and (this game) were different in the defensive part.

When asked if he would maintain a new three -back strategy in the 2026 North and Central America World Cup, he said, “I think it can be Plan A (A) or Plan Bee depending on how good it is to talk about, but how good it is.”

Korea, which finished the victory of the Chinese War on the day, will face Hong Kong on the 11th and Japan on the 15th.
