Soheil Saharai: We couldn’t satisfy the fans/ Playing with Sepahan was our most bitter games
Soheil Saharai said in an interview that the Persepolis team failed to satisfy its supporters in the season.
Soheil Sahira, a young Persepolis player, who performed well last season, said in a conversation with last season’s Premier League competitions and plans for the future.

However, it was not good, and I was deprived of the reaction. That reaction was really unwanted, and the deprivation it had for me was not pleasant at all.
Persepolis failed to satisfy its supporters this year.
Unfortunately it is. However, from a team that has the most championship in recent years and in history, there is always only expectation of success and championships, and we have not succeeded in fulfilling this expectation, and fans have the right to be satisfied with us. Fairly we lost the cup during the season that passed. First, we lost the Super Cup and then we lost the Cup and the League with pure luck and we were somehow ashamed of our fans. If we were a little focused, that wouldn’t have happened.
When was the hardest moment of this season for you?
Believe me, it was bad for me when the whistle ended the game. It was then when I regretted how we could celebrate the championship with more focus at that moment, but it didn’t. I remembered that in some of the games, especially the Rafsanjan Copper, Textile and Independence Games, we lost very easily. If we were to win these games, we would have achieved at least the right to win the Asian quota this season, but our neglect and decentralization made us miss a lot of opportunities and then regret it.
What do you think was the reason for this lack of focus?
Perhaps the main reason that our focus was not complete was the many changes we had to face this season, if we saw a lot of stability in Persepolis in previous years. We finished last season with Osmar Vieira. Garido was then introduced as the head coach and after a short time he was separated, Karim Bagheri was in some of our coach games and after a few games with Mr Karim, Ismail Cartal became Persepolis. However, we had a strange year in the season that passed, and this has overshadowed our focus.
Were you satisfied with your individual situation in the team?
Persepolis is a great team that many wish to be in, and I am very pleased to have this honor. However, everyone knows that playing in Persepolis is hard and needs a special effort. In order to be able to play in this big team and be effective, you have to try and not be tired. In Persepolis, there are great and national players in my post, and this made me harder to be in the squad, but I never disappointed during the season, and I tried hard to get experienced with experienced players and bigger teams to show me the best every time.
You recently renewed your contract with Persepolis, which means you have a special plan for your future?
That’s one hundred percent. I have to practice a few times as much as the previous season and add my effort to gain the cadre confidence and take advantage of the opportunities that come to me. I have the ability to play in a few posts, and with the good experience I have gained, I definitely hope to be one of the influential players in the new season. I have a special plan and I want to be my best this season.
What is the future of Persepolis for Persepolis in the coming season, given the summer transfers and strengthening the team for the coming season?
Rest assured, Persepolis is more powerful than ever before. Three seasons ago, during the period when Persepolis remained short after the championships, you saw what a magnificent return to the championship with the trilogy. It is true that we didn’t have a success in winning the Cup this year, but I have no doubt that we are more powerful for the new season, and again with the championship and success of our fans, we will make our fans happy this season and the memories of all of them will be erased.
Which games were the bitterest and sweetest event you had with Persepolis in the last season?
The most bitter games we had with Sepahan and lost two cups easily, the meetings we didn’t deserve to be defeated, but everything gave up on the FA Cup and the Super Cup, and the sweetest game against Qatar. When I got into the field, I didn’t care what the important game was and what players are facing. I was so ready that I didn’t think about anything else and I had no chance of stress. Thank God I thought I was in good condition and I was able to satisfy staff.
What teams are the most important Persepolis competitors in the new season?
In the end, the desert told Borna: “The transfer season is not over yet to see what players the teams are attracting.” However, all teams are respected and the claimants must be the same as they are in the past, but this year Persepolis will claim the first championship.
