Professional volleyball OK Savings Bank, Leave Ansan and go to Busan… Previous confirmation
Men’s professional volleyball OK Savings Bank leaves Ansan, Gyeonggi, and moves to Busan. This is the first time that professional volleyball teams have been created in Busan and Gyeongnam.
The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) held a board of directors at the Korea Volleyball Federation Secretariat in Sangam -dong, Mapo -gu, Seoul, unanimously approved the relocation of OK Savings Bank. OK Savings Bank has moved to Busan in 12 years since its founding was founded in 2013.
OK Savings Bank is a home stadium and is being coordinated with Busan Gangseo Sports Park Gymnasium and Gijang Gymnasium. It is about twice the size of the existing home stadium, Ansan Evergreen Water Gymnasium (2300). An official of the OK Savings Bank said, “The decision of the home stadium still remains due to the due diligence of the Korea Volleyball Federation, but we consider the Gangseo Gymnasium first in consideration of the stadium condition, the surrounding environment, parking, and broadcasting facilities.”
The OK Savings Bank has increased to four volleyball teams from the baseball (Lotte Giants), soccer (I -Park), and basketball (KCC Aegis, BNK Sum) to the professional sports teams in Busan and Gyeongnam. There are four local governments with four professional sports teams: Seoul, Incheon, Suwon, and Busan.
OK Savings Bank expects the development of Korean volleyball in Busan and Gyeongnam. Kwon Chul -geun, head of OK Savings Bank, said, “We have expanded the foundation of male volleyball in the metropolitan area and promoted the relocation of the ointment to try a new challenge.” “Busan has more than 1700 volleyballs. There are also 13 elite youth teams. An official from OK Savings Bank said, “Busan and Gyeongnam had no interest in volleyball, but there were no professional teams.
Meanwhile, foreign players and Asian quota selections will be shifted to free contracts. The Asian Quarter decided to take effect from 2026 to 2027 and foreign players from 2027 to 2028. It reflects the downs for the players participating in the Tri -Out players and the difficulties of selection of alternative players. In 2015, the Women’s Department has been conducting a foreign player Triot out since 2016.
