Vanja Miljkovic is no longer a Dinamo coach, the result of a series of weak results in domestic and international competitions. The decision on his dismissal was made after a particularly shocking defeat of his second -team Marsonia, who dropped Dinamo from the Krešimir Cosic Cup.

The management of the club, which has ambition to classify Dinamo among the leading Croatian basketball clubs such as Cibona, Zadar, Split and Cedevita Junior, estimated that the team led by the leadership Miljkovic did not make the expected progress. Dynamo took over the young coach this summer after leaving Joseph Sesarbut Miljkovic’s mandate was marked by disappointing results:

Early relegation from FIBA Eurocup After a convincing defeat to Dijon, a modest effect in the home championship with a ratio of only three wins in ten games. And defeat of Marsonia in the Cup, which was the last drop for the club management.

Despite the investments and ambitions to break into the European scene, Dinamo is now in a situation where he has to restructure the team and find a new coach who will ensure a return to the winning trip. The administration believes that change on the bench can bring the much needed energy and motivation to the team.

Although the coach’s shift was expected, the new selection of coaches will be crucial to the club’s goals and preserving the image of a serious competitor on the Croatian basketball scene.
