Indian Cricket Premier League was suspended
Reuters reports that the Indian Cricket Board has suspended the Premier League as well as tensions with Pakistan.
The league was canceled in the middle of the game on Thursday after the clashes in the Indian border areas began. The Indian Cricket Board, however, attributed the disorder to the power outage in the Daramshala city studio.
The Indian Premier League, the richest cricket tournament in the world, started its season on May 5 and was scheduled to take place on May 5.
India and Pakistan have been involved in clashes since Wednesday, when India targeted several places in Pakistan and claimed to be “terrorist infrastructure”. Indian attacks on Pakistan were carried out in response to a deadly attack in Kashmir.
New Delhi has identified two Pakistani nationals as the suspect of the Kashmir attack and accused Islamabad of being involved in the attack, an accusation that Pakistan has rejected and called for independent investigations.
The Indian Army has announced that the Pakistani Armed Forces have made “numerous attacks” Thursday night and early Friday using uninformed aircraft and other ammunition across the western border, a claim that Pakistan has denied.
