‘Taegeukgi’ in the baseball field… SSG held a special event for ’80th Anniversary of Liberation’

(Sports Seoul | Reporter Kang Yoon -sik) SSG held a special event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation in LG and home games held at the Incheon SSG Randers Field on the 15th.
The event was designed to reflect on the meaning of Liberation Day and share it with fans based on the historical symbolism of Incheon.
Before the start of the game, Changyoung Elementary School baseball team, the birthplace of the Incheon Independence Movement, advocated the national anthem. Then, the ‘Liberation Memorial flag march’ was held, and the national flag provided to all participants marched the ground and shared the spirit of the independence movement.
When entering the team, the ‘Liberation Memorial Introduction’ event was held. Fans with Taegeukgi share high five with the players and entered together to make the meaning of Liberation Day more meaningful.

In the innings, a quiz event was held on the theme of ‘Incheon Regional Independence Movement’ and ’80th Anniversary of Liberation’.
In addition, the ‘Today’s Olympian’ campaign video, which includes Shinsegae Department Store, Independence Memorial, and the National Museum of Korea, was screened through the billboard. Through the campaign video of Korean music song So -hee’s ‘My Country’ music video and Kim Kwang -hyun participated in the campaign video, the meaning of the disappearing Taegeukgi and liberation can be felt again in everyday life.
SSG said, “We hope that this event, which is held with the history of Incheon and the passion of fans for the 80th anniversary of Liberation, will be a meaningful time to reflect on the value of Liberation Day and the meaning of Taegeukgi.” skywalker@sportsseoul.com
