Gonduz: The coach had guaranteed that I was the first goalkeeper of the team/ I loved Persepolis and separated with the utmost respect
The former Persepolis goalkeeper emphasized that in the end, the two -way respect and agreement had been separated from the club.
Former Persepolis goalkeeper Alexei Gonduz has spoken in a conversation about Alireza Biranvand, the needy message, the lack of honesty and transparency of Ismail Cartal and, of course, the reasons for the separation from Persepolis.
*You became a replacement for the Iranian national team’s goalkeeper in Persepolis, what did you decide to respond to Persepolis? Where did the negotiations start?
Before the transfer of Persepolis, I got information about the club and found that Persepolis was a predecessor team and also in the new season in the Asian Elite League. I was also looking for a new challenge, so I chose the transfer to Persepolis. I never regret attending the club, and I know myself that I did my best to Persepolis. I went to Persepolis with all the time, and it was very pleased to me, because I was also selected as the first goalkeeper of the Algerian national team after Persepolis. That’s why I am very happy about my career in this club.
*What was your mentality and default before moving to Iran? Did you know something about Iranian football or did you consult with someone about moving to Persepolis?
I consulted with my own program manager, and he gave me confidence and confidence in Iran and claimed that the situation in Iran was perfectly appropriate and that everything was ready for the progress of a player. However, the mentality of cyberspace and the media of the whole world is different, and the conversations that are being met with the conditions I saw in Iran are very different. That is why not only for me, but for anyone who has not yet traveled to Iran, there is controversial news about Iran’s own conditions. For this reason, I didn’t know exactly the situation until I was in the Persepolis club atmosphere, and when I arrived in Iran and signed with Persepolis, I just realized the positive and good conditions of the club.
*From the very beginning you had an acceptable performance in Persepolis, and especially after your good performance in the second week of the tractor, you became a popular goalkeeper for Persepolis. How was the reaction of fans after that game?
I thank God that Persepolis fans were always very kind to me and supported me all my time in Iran. They always treated me with affection and I am very happy about this. It is my honor that my performance in that race was good and acceptable to the tractor and the fans were satisfied. But in the next matches, I also tried to show a good show in Persepolis and the feedback I saw was positive, so I am very happy to be happy with Persepolis fans.
*In the early weeks of the penalty shoot -out, you restrained the match against Al -Ahly. What memory or special point about that race do you have in mind?
The match against Al -Ahly in the Asian Elite League was very important to us. Finally, we saw that Al -Ahly won the Asian Championship at the end of the season. We had a tough match and we did our best to get the team. It was very important for me to contain a penalty, and I think there was a fascinating scene during the race and that moment. All the minutes of the race were fun and good for me, and the Riyadh Moharraz penalty is one of the pleasant memories of my time in Persepolis.
*The only foreign player in the history of Iranian football is to win against independence in your first two derby. How different was the atmosphere of independence from other matches for you?
The derby against independence was very exciting for me. Of course, we have a great and exciting derby in Algeria, and if Persepolis fans follow this, they realize that the status of fans in Algeria is the same. I think there is a common turning point in the culture of the two countries and Algeria, and this was a very important and important issue for me. I am very happy to have entered a similar country from a popular and football country, and I think there is a lot of commonality between Iran and Algeria. In Algeria, there is also a very important derby between the two most popular teams and conditions are like Iran. I am very happy to win as a foreign player in my first two derby and this is a great honor for me. Hopefully one day the situation will go back to Persepolis and play in the derby.
*You joined Persepolis with Juan Carlos Garido, but then he succeeded Ismail Cartal. What was your relationship with the Turkish coach?
My relationship with all Persepolis coaches was very good. I had a very good relationship with Ismail Cartal, and even with his goalkeeper coach, and everything was very good, but in the course of what was very strange to me, I have to say that things were not digestible to me, but I try to go through them and I don’t want to talk about it. I am a transparent and honest person and I think that during the coaching of Ismail Cartal, a number of things were still dumb to me, and I didn’t understand the reasons for some things, but I don’t like to deal with these issues and create a problem for Persepolis.
*You managed to register a clinical and won the title of one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. Were you interested in staying in Persepolis yourself?
Look, I had not had a one -year contract with Persepolis, and if I had accepted a three -year contract, it was because I had good and long -term plans to stay in the club, but at the end of this year the World Cup is ahead and I had ideas and thoughts as I said. I have to say that what I heard from the coach was in conflict with what was happening at the club, so I decided to make the right choice for myself. The fact is, I have to say that nothing was important to me except thinking about the World Cup, and all the players in the world are to be in the World Cup someday and have a brilliant performance. I also had to decide that I would take what prevented that goal and move on to the best decision.
*Did you talk to Vahid Hashemian explicitly about the future? What was the Persepolis coach’s opinion about you? Did he want you to stay in Persepolis?
In my opinion, Vahid Hashemian is a distinguished man and a young, future and literate coach, and I was very hopeful in his future in the few sessions I practiced in Persepolis. I think Persepolis will succeed with Hashemian, but I also talked to Vahid Hashemian about staying or going, and everything was completely friendly and real without any margins. To be honest, I feel that this decision was one of the few separations that we were not separated in reality, and that part of my heart will always remain with the club and the manager and always part of my mind with Persepolis.
*You were in the Turkish camp and along with other Persepolis players with full morale and readiness. Did you think you would be separated from Persepolis at that point?
Yes, I was in the Turkish camp with all my efforts. Because I had a contract with Persepolis and I am a professional player, so I had to deal with professional conditions. There was never a big discussion between us, and as I emphasize, everything was in the right and positive conditions between us. If I was in the Persepolis camp and practiced at that time, it was because I had not yet reached the final conclusion on my career and the next team. We had to make a joint decision with the club, and then I would apply for my future.
*If you refer to cyberspace pages, different reactions have been shown to your separation. How was Persepolis fans deal with you?
Persepolis fans are really kind to me, and I am always grateful to Persepolis fans for their behavior and affection, but I would like to know that the two national goalkeepers can’t work in one club, and the fact is that both the message I and I need both interest in the World Cup. The fact is that I had the chance to go to another big team, but perhaps the message didn’t need this position, so he may have seen Persepolis. As I emphasized, I wanted to keep the chance to be the first goalkeeper of my national team. It is very difficult to reach the national team’s gate, but it is much more difficult to maintain.
*Throughout the season, we have repeatedly seen a comparison between you and Alireza Biranvand. Now that you are separated from Persepolis, what do you think about Alireza Biranvand?
Alireza Biranvand is a very good and capable goalkeeper who, in my opinion, has been respected in Iranian football in recent years. I know Biranand’s conditions and performance as positive and I respect him.
*Unlike most players in Iran, you were very slow and marginalized in Persepolis for a year, and you were even willing to interview. How did life in Iran go for you? Was the unwillingness to be in the media a special reason?
I know that many players have a lot of work in cyberspace and are talking a lot, but I decided to not have an activity at all, and I think this was one of the main causes of my comfort and feeling in Iran. We need to show our performance on the ground and we do not need to fix our weaknesses in cyberspace. In my opinion, the more clear and honest it is for humans, at least it feels better.
*When you were Persepolis, you became the first goalkeeper of the Algerian national team. Do you think you will also go to the World Cup as the number one man?
Certainly all my minds will be in the World Cup in the Algerian national team. In the last year, I have managed to be inside the Algerian national team’s goal and all my hope is to be in the World Cup next year and show good show for my national team.
*The next year may face each other in the World Cup of Iran and Algeria. Did you think you would like to face the Iranian national team?
What an exciting possibility (laughing). The truth is that I had never thought about it, but I think if Iran and Algeria face the World Cup, there will be an exciting and exciting competition. Now that you have asked this question, I have to say that this will happen and this will be really exciting.
*At first, it seemed to be the managers of Persepolis to keep you up, so you probably missed many suggestions, but the news of your separation was released. Aren’t you annoyed by this behavior of Persepolis managers?
As I said, I talked to Persepolis’ coach many times, and he always guaranteed me that I was the first goalkeeper, but at once everything changed and the situation went different. Of course, I don’t want to talk about this, and the club always had a good deal with me and it was a favorable situation for me. That’s why I try to forget this and go through it. But anyway, what the coach first told me was completely inconsistent with what I saw later.
*Recently there has been news of the possibility of your presence in Independence or Sepahan. Did you have a direct talks with the Independence Club?
Early in the transfer market, I had talks with Sepahan, but this is the time. But there was never a formal talk about independence, and everything was rumored, and I don’t know where these rumors came from. Of course, some other teams were negotiating with me, but I don’t like to talk about it, and as I said, I was always looking for the best choice for my future.
*There have been rumors that you paid Persepolis as a heavy sum as the termination of the contract?
No, these news and rumors are not true at all, and that is never true. Persepolis and I agreed, and everything was in a way that would benefit from the parties and none of us was lost and everything went well.
*We talked about the positive points. Is there a bitter or negative memory of your one -year presence in Iran?
No, I had no bitter memory of being at Persepolis and dealing with fans. But my only bitter moments and memories were the failure to win the Premier League championship statistics as well as elimination from the Asian Elite League, otherwise everything went well.
*Football fans in Iran refer to you as a good and ethical goalkeeper. What is your final talk to Iranian football fans? Can you travel to Iran again?
I wish Persepolis, Iranian football and fans of this team, and I hope Persepolis will always win the championship and the team’s fans will be happy. As I said, hopefully one day I will be with these good and kind people again. In my opinion, the cultural conditions of Iran and Algeria were very close and I was the first Algerian football history. I hope that in the future there will be very positive things about cooperation between Algeria and Iran. Many cultural issues are closest between the two countries, and even laws like Iran and a little more strict. For example, if the budget ceiling is not met here, the club will be penalized and even the CEO will go to jail. But I had very good memories in Iran, and from here I wish all the Iranian people success.
