K -League 1 FC Anyang, Lee Woo -hyung’s 9th General Manager

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Ahn Hong -seok = Professional football K -League 1 FC Anyang announced on the 25th that it has appointed Lee Woo -hyung (59) technical director as the ninth general manager.

Lee Woo -hyung has been involved with the club for more than 30 years since he was the predecessor of Anyang.

He played as a player at Kookmin Bank from 1989 to 1997. In 2000, he started his life as a coach of Kookmin Bank and became a manager.

He left Anyang until 2015 and left for a while and returned to the club as the head of the power reinforcement in 2019.

Since 2021, he has been sitting again at the headquarters, and has achieved great results, including entering the K -League 2 (Part 2) playoffs in the 2021 season and entering the K -League’s upside playoffs in the 2022 season.

Since last year, he has contributed to the first promotion of Anyang’s K -League 2 championship and the first promotion, including finding outstanding players, recruiting foreign players, and reinforcing major positions.

Lee Woo -hyung said, “I believe that a person who knows the club best can take the club farthrough. I will look at the next 10 years based on the last 10 years of experience.
