Los Angeles Olympic Table Tennis Mixed Team Exhibition… Running 6 medals in rackets

At the 2028 Los Angeles (LA) Olympics, table tennis competes for six gold medals. Men’s and women’s doubles have been resurrected and a mixed group exhibition has been established.
The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) said in an official website on the 17th, “At the Los Angeles Olympics, the table tennis will be held in six sports, including men and women’s fasting, men’s and women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and mixed group exhibitions, and will be awarded the largest number of gold medals among all rackets.” Instead of the abolition of the men’s and women’s teams during the 2024 Paris etymic, the men’s and women’s doubles were resurrected and a mixed group exhibition was established.
For Korea, which has been strong in doubles in the recent competition, he has a good chance to win medals.
Lim Jong-hoon and Ahn Jae-hyun, a men’s doubles, won the world’s No. 1 Felix Level-Alexis LeBung pair 3-1 in the World Table Tennis (WTT) top-end US Smash Final in Las Vegas on the 13th. Lim Jong-hoon and Ahn Jae-hyun have won the world ranking from fifth to second with the winning championship.
Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin, the Paris Olympic Mixed Doubles Bronze Medal Duo, also won the silver medal in the same competition, and the world ranking rose from third to second.
In addition, women’s doubles Shin Yu-bin and Yuhanna pairs won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Doha in May, while Shin Yu-bin and Choi Hyo-ju paired in the 2025 World Table Tennis (WTT) Star Contender Liublana in Slovenia last month.
The last gold medalist of men and women in the last Olympics was China’s Marine-Tianchi (male doubles), and royal-jang-jang in the 2004 Athens Olympics.
“The table tennis has been a long way since debut of the Olympics, and the Los Angeles Olympics means a bold leap since the Olympics,” said the president of the International Table Tennis Federation.
