Women’s Soccer Ji So -yeon and Jang Seul -ki Goal Firecrack Korea East Asian Cup wins in 20 years
Korean women’s football has reached the top of the East Asian Cup in 20 years.
Korea, led by Shin Sang-woo, beat Taiwan 2-0 with Ji So-yeon and Jang Seul-ki in the final 3rd round of the 2025 East Asian Football Federation (East Asian Cup) Women’s Department held at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on the 16th. Jang Seulgi was selected as the best player in the tournament.
Korea has tied with 1 win and 2 draws with Japan and China. However, Korea scored three goals in the three teams with the same victory point, beating China (2 goals) and Japan (1 goal). The game between China and Japan ended with a 0-0 draw.
Korea won the championship again 20 years after the first top of the 2005 competition.
Korea completed the first half of the day, and changed the change by putting Kang Chae-rim and Moon Eun-ju from the beginning. Since then, a sharp attack has survived, and Kang Chae -rim advanced the penalty kick in the second half of the 25th minute.
