The women’s volleyball team, led by Fernando Morales, lost the set score 2-3 (8: 25/25: 18/21: 25/25: 23/7: 15) in the 2025 Korea Invitational Women’s Volleyball Competition held at the Jinju Gymnasium in Gyeongnam on the 13th. It is the second loss of the tournament. France is 1 win and 1 loss.
Korea, which failed to remain with 1 win and 11 losses in the FIVB Volleyball Federation (VNL) this year, cannot participate in VNL next season. For this reason, Korea is looking for international competitiveness and restoring pride in this competition. However, the day before (12th), Argentina was defeated by a set score of 1-3 (22: 25/21: 25/27: 25/21: 25). The tournament, which will be held from 12th to 17th, will be selected as the host country, including Korea, Sweden, Argentina, Japan, Czech Republic, and France.
In Korea, Captain Kang So -hui (15 points, Korea Expressway Corporation) and Yuk Seo -young (11 points, IBK IBK) were inferior in power and height. The French gunsmanship led the victory with 24 points.
Korea was unilaterally pushed by one set France and gave a set of 8-25. However, in the second set, Kang So-hui was alive and balanced with a set score of 1-1. Korea, which lost three sets, was able to focus on four sets of focus and won a set. But the last five sets, the attacks were blocked by the opponent’s blocking wall, and the game was played. Korea will play the third game with Sweden at 2 pm on the 15th.
Meanwhile, Argentina beat Sweden with a set score of 3-1 (25: 19/23: 25/25: 18/25: 20) and won two consecutive games. Sweden, who won the Czech Republic the day before, scored 1 win and 1 loss.
