Hwang Do -yoon, Seoul, won the July K -League ‘Young Player Award’

The Korea Professional Football Federation announced on the 12th that “FC Seoul midfielder Hwang Do -yun won the ‘Young Player Award of the Month’ in July 2025.”

The Young Player Award of the Month is given to ‘Young Player’, who has played the best performance in the K -League 1 every month.

Candidates must meet all three conditions: Korean nationality, Korean nationality, ▲ 23 years old (born after 2002), and ▲ debut after 2023. It is also included in the candidate for more than half of the monthly team’s total game time. The final winners will be determined by the discussion and voting of the TSG members of the Federation of Technology Committee (TSG).

In July, the Young Player Award was evaluated in three games, from the 22th round of the K -League 1 to the 24th round. Candidates were named Hwang Do -yun (Seoul), including Lee Hyun -yong (Suwon FC), Jung Ji -hoon (Gwangju), and Hong Yun -sang (Pohang).

Hwang Do -yun, born in 2003, played two assists in all games from the 22nd to the 24th round. This is the most helpful of this month’s Young Player Award. As a result, Hwang Do -yun won the TSG’s average score (7.13 points) with the overwhelming choice of TSG members and won the Young Player Award of the month. This is the first time Hwang Do -yun has won the Young Player Award of the month.

In July, ‘Young Player of the Month’ will be delivered with the trophy.
