(Sports Seoul | Reporter Kim Min-gyu) 24 top players on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour, including Park Hyun-kyung, Lee Ye-won, and Yoon Na-na, will participate and compete for the last ‘champion’ of the year. Who will be the winner of the winning prize of 250,000 Wemix (virtual currency, equivalent to approximately 280 million won as of the 12th)?
Wemade will hold the ‘Wemix Championship 2024’ for two days on the 16th and 17th at Haeundae Beach Golf & Resort in Busan.
The ‘Wemix Championship 2024’ is attended by players who have been active on the KLPGA tour this season, and 24 players were selected based on the Wemix point ranking, which converts the results of each competition into scores. A large number of top players such as Yoon Ina, Park Hyun-kyung, Park Ji-young, Lee Ye-won, and Hwang Yu-min will participate.
Players will compete in single match play on the 16th and 18-hole stroke play on the 17th. The total prize money is 1 million Wemix (about 1.15 billion won), which is paid out differently depending on ranking. The winner receives 250,000 Wemix.
Tickets for the competition will be sold on Wemade’s blockchain-based social platform ‘WePublic’. Tickets can also be purchased at the on-site ticket booth on the day of the competition. There are two types of tickets available: ▲’Wemix Suite’, which includes access to a dedicated clubhouse parking lot and VIP viewing space on the course, and ▲’Ground’, which includes a Gallery Plaza coffee coupon.
The match play group will be organized at 9:30 a.m. on the 15th, the day before the competition, and can be viewed live on the SBS Golf Channel. Game broadcasts can also be viewed from 10 a.m.
