Shim Joon -seok (21), who was considered the largest word by throwing a 160km per hour in high school, was released from the team in three seasons of the US challenge.

MLB Miami Malins announced on the 5th that it will release Shim Jun -suk, who played at FCL Malins, a rookie -level minor league team under the club.

Shim Joon -suk, who was from Deoksugo, declared the US stage challenge ahead of the Korean professional baseball (KBO) rookie draft in 2023. As Shim Jun -suk, who was the first overall ranking at the time, advanced to the overseas, Hanwha selected Kim Seo -hyun as the first place. Shim Joon -suk, who chose to go to the United States with the attention of ‘2nd Park Chan -ho’, joined Pittsburgh Pirates for $ 750,000 (about 1 billion won) in 2023. At the time, Shim Joon -suk was confident that he would take the big league.

But the wall of reality was high. The injury continued to catch Shim Jun -seok’s ankle. He couldn’t play properly due to injuries such as ankles, pectoral muscles, and shoulders. In the 2023 season, he played only four games in the Rookie League under Pittsburgh, allowing three hits (one home run) and scoring an average ERA of 3.38 without winning or losing. Last year, I couldn’t play at all.

In the end, Shim Joon -suk was traded to Miami in July last year, but was sluggish due to his struggle. This season’s Rookie League scores were 3 losses in 13 games, 16 strikeouts in 13 innings, 31 slaves (23 walks, 8 balls), and an average ERA of 10.80.
