Edmond Bezik, a veteran of Persepolis, talked about the conditions of the Garrido team these days. Bezik believes that Persepolis has a good tool for the Iranian league, but Iranian football lags behind other Asian leagues.
Bezik said about the difference between the conditions of Persepolis in the elite league and the Iranian league: On the one hand, I support Garrido, but Persepolis is a suitable team for the Iranian league, but it does not have those players for the elite league. I want to get to the point where we have to admit that we didn’t have the strength we had in the previous years. Teams spend and bring in great players and coaches and work. The fact is that we are still behind and this is a natural thing. Now, since we cannot recruit players and coaches, we have to accept that our football and league is weaker than other leagues.
Bezik continued: These competitions are based on their own conditions in all countries. In my opinion, our football has not progressed compared to before in terms of position and being able to bring good and high quality players. If you want to give an example of high-quality players, you will certainly mention older players like Emad Reza, Toure, etc. Now we don’t bring good and high-quality players. We need to attract more of these good players, which will definitely help us improve.
Regarding the reason for his support for Garrido, he says: Do you want to know why I say Garrido is good? What I saw is clearly that he is a serious and disciplined person in training and puts anyone who trains well in the game. Sometimes there is also taste, maybe I like a player but Garrido doesn’t like him, but it is Garrido who decides. I think it has created order very well. I am not saying that this was not the order before, but in my opinion, he is a coach who looks at his training more than his arrangement.
