OK Savings Bank is active in support for the 19-year-old (U-19) and 21 (U-21) national teams. Unlike the adult national team training in Jincheon Athlete’s Village, the training environment of each team by age is not green. It is necessary to go to a professional team, university and high school training grounds.
OK Savings Bank, who recognized this, sent a help. From the 4th to the 17th, OK Savings Bank provided the U-19 national team with a club training center and weight training facilities in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. The U-19 national team is participating in the 2025 International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) U-19 World Championships, which began on the 25th after receiving the help of OK Savings Bank.
The OK Savings Bank Squadron came out and started a one-point lesson for the U-19 national team. In particular, the veteran Jeon Kwang -in is rumored to be attracting attention with sincere coaching. “It was a lot of time for me too. It’s a short time, but I hope it will be a little help to my juniors,” he said.
OK Savings Bank also delivered a scholarship of 15.5 million won. Kim Jong-il, manager of U-19 national team, said, “Thanks to OK Savings Bank support, we have trained in a very good environment. It was a great advantage for athletes to be able to train or reinforce without worrying.”
OK Savings Bank also offers training facilities for the U-21 national team from the 17th to the 17th of next month. U-21 national team manager Seok Jin-wook thanked OK Savings Bank, saying, “The training environment is not good, but this consideration of OK Savings Bank is a great strength for the players who have no big competitions.”
Above all, OK Savings Bank has been awarding scholarships to used volleyball players since 2020. At the ‘2025 Volleyball Night’ event held in January, scholarships were given to the winners of the South Korean and South High School Awards last year. The cumulative amount of scholarships delivered by the OK Savings Bank is 69 million won.
The fruits of steady scholarships continue in the V League. Han Tae -joon (Woori Card) and Kang Seung -il (Korean Air), who were named in the rookie draft in 2022, are OK Savings Bank Scholarships. Since then, Yoon Ha -jun (KEPCO), Seo Hyun -il (Korean Air), Lee Jae -hyun (Hyundai Capital), and Lee Woo -jin (former Italian Monja) are also entering the V -League. Inha University prospect Yoon Kyung is also a resource that received OK Savings Bank scholarship.
