Ahn Se -young (23), who challenged the ‘Super 1000 Slam’, which won all four badminton ‘Super 1000’ series for the first time, was abstained with the injury during the Chinese Open Semifinal.
Ahn Se -young, the world’s No. 1 women’s singles, was abstained during the World Badminton Federation (BWF) Super 1000 China Open Women’s Singles Singles Single Single Lesson with the World Ranking 3rd place Hanwe (China) held at the Changzhou Olympic Sports Center in China on the 26th. Ahn Se-young lost the game to 19-21 with 3 points ahead of 19-18 in 1 game. Ahn Se -young grabbed her knees during the game and complained of pain. In the second game, he scored five points in 6-6 situations and gave up the game at 6-11.
An official from the Korea Badminton Association said, “Ahn Se -young is in a poor condition and is worried about greater injuries.”
Ahn Se -young, the 2024 Paris Olympic gold medalist, challenged ‘Super 1000 Slam’ for the first time in the history of the World Badminton Federation. Ahn Se -young swept all three ‘Super 1000’ contests (Malaysia Open, Jeon Young Open, Indonesia Open), and was also on the top of the Season at the Indian Open, Orlean Masters, and Japan Open. Ahn Se -young was able to achieve the world’s first ‘Super 1000 Slam’ and 7 wins in the season if he finished the opening of the Chinese opening, but he chose to be abstained by determining that knee protection was first.
Meanwhile, Kim Hye-jeong and Gong Hee-yong, who won the women’s doubles semi-finals, lost to the finals by losing 0-2 (10: 21/12: 21) in China’s Ryu Sung-soo and Tanning pair.
