The Korean men’s volleyball team under the age of 19 succeeded in winning the round of 16, winning three consecutive wins at the 2025 International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) U-19 World Championships.

Korea, led by Kim Jong-il, defeated Brazil with a set score of 3-0 (25: 16/25: 21/25: 22) in the third leg of Group D in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Korea played a one -way game. Apo -jik spiker Lee Joon -ho led the team’s attack with 22 points, the most team, and the outside heater Bang Kang -ho scored 15 points. Outside heater Lim Se -hoon and middle blocker Cho Young -un also scored six points to contribute to the team’s victory. The International Volleyball Federation said in an official website after the game, “Lee Joon -ho and Bang Kang -ho are showing strong scoring power, and Cho Young -woon is showing good breath with the setter and supporting the attack.”

South Korea beat Cuba (3-0) and Colombia (3-0) in the first leg, followed by 3-0 wins until the game. The tournament scored three wins and 9 points, ranking first in Group D.

Korea succeeded in advance to the round of 16, securing at least fourth place regardless of the results of Finland on the 29th and the US on the 30th. The tournament, which was participated by 24 countries, will be divided into four groups of six teams, and the group stage will be played in the group stage, and then entered the round of 16.

Korea, who won a bronze medal at the 2023 Argentina competition, is aiming for a consecutive winner.
