’59 billion’ Jeonbuk Kang Sang -yoon K -League market value ‘No. 1 overall’ … FIFA announcement

Born in 2004, Jeonbuk Hyundai Midfielder Kang Sang -yoon (21) was found to have a survey of institutions under the FIFA, which has the highest market value among all professional football K -League players.

According to the K -League 1 player market value ranking released by the FIFA International Sports Research Institute (CIES) on the 21st, Kang Sang -yun’s current market value is 3.6 million euros and about 5.9 billion won. It is the highest market value among the players registered in the K -League throughout the domestic and foreign players.

Kang Sang -yun’s ransom based on another transfer site, which was updated last month, is only 450,000 euros (about 730 million won), but Kang Sang -yun’s new market value is eight times higher than Transfer Marc.

Born in 2004, Kang Sang -yun, a midfielder in Jeonbuk, made his debut in 2022 and returned to Jeonbuk this year after renting Busan I -Park and Suwon FC. He has played as a core of Jeonbuk Jungwon in the Gus Poe supervision system and is playing three assists in 21 games in K -League 1. Recently, he was also selected as a national team and played three A -match matches.

Following Kang Sang -yun, Pohang Steelers striker Lee Ho -jae (25), who recently hit the Taegeuk Mark and broke the A -match debut goal, ranked second with € 3.3 million. In 2005, Gangwon FC Center Back Shin Min -ha (20) followed Kang Sang -yun and Lee Ho -jae for 32 million euros. The K -League 1 goal (12 goals), which is known to have received a European love call recently, ranked fourth with 2.1 million euros (about 3.4 billion won).

In addition, Park Jin -seop (30), a Jeonbuk captain and national team, and Pohang Hong Yun -sang (23) and Jeonbuk striker Andrea Companyo (29, Italy) ranked fifth with € 1.7 million. Kim Bong -soo (26, Daejeon Hana Citizen) ranked 8th with 1.6 million euros (approximately 2.6 billion won), while signing offices (23, Ulsan HD) and Byun Jun -soo (24, Gwangju FC) were ranked 9th with 1.4 million euros (about 2.3 billion won).

Four out of the top 10 were played by Jeonbuk this season. Following Pohang, one person was named in Gangwon, Daejeon, Ulsan, and Gwangju. Except for foreign players Companyo and Shin Min-ha and Hong Yun-sang, the remaining seven were recently listed on the national team list of the 2025 East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Football Championship (East Asian Cup). However, Jeon Jin -woo was first included in the list and was excluded just before the opening of the tournament due to dizziness.

CIES has been updating the market value of soccer players around the world with its own modules that combine the player’s age, recent performance and contract period. Currently, FC Barcelona’s first place in the world is 2007, Barcelona’s Shinsung Ramin, and the current market value is up to 434 million euros (about 702.3 billion won).
