Technical experts from Korea and Japan met. It is the first time that the Korea -Japan Football Association has shared wisdom for the development of technology.
The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced on the 14th that it invited the Japan Football Association (JFA) as the main guest at the Suwon Court yard Marriott Hotel in Gyeonggi -do and held ‘MIK Technical Exchange 2025’.
The event was designed to share the overall football technology policy such as youth development, leadership education, and national team management philosophy during the 2025 East Asian Football Federation (East Asian Cup).
In the Korean side, Lee Yong -soo, vice chairman of the Korean Football Association, Kim Seung -hee, executive director of the Korean Football Association, Chairman of the Technology Development Committee, and Hyun Young -min, Chairman of the Power Reinforcement Committee. In the Japan Football Association, Masanaga Masanaga, a technical director and Secretary General Yukawa Kazu Yuki joined. China’s Pubo Technical Director, who is participating in the East Asian Cup, and Ashley Westwood, the Hong Kong men’s team, were also invited.
The event was presented by the Korea Football Association based on the MIK (MADE In Korea) project, and the JAPAN’s Way, which contains the mid- and long -term development strategy of the Japan Football Association.
Following the panel discussion, the technical heads of the two countries continued to discuss the future direction.
Lee said, “We introduced our technological philosophy and at the same time, and it was a valuable opportunity for Japan’s mid- and long -term soccer policy.” Lee Yong -soo also said, “We confirmed that the two countries are focusing on fostering athletes. There was a consensus that it was a rival in the game, but in the technology sector, cooperation was needed.”
The Korea Football Association said it will be able to become a regular technical cooperation and exchange platform.
