The Korean women’s volleyball team was defeated without taking a set in Japan. Korea fell to the bottom of the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and was in danger of relegation.
The Korean national team (34th in the world), led by Fernando Morales, lost a set score of 0-3 (21: 25/25: 27/22: 25) in Japan (5th) in the second round of the 2025 International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Baliva Volleyball League held in Chiba, Japan on the 10th. Japan ranked third with 8 wins and 2 losses.
In Korea, Ace Kang So -hui (Korea Expressway Corporation) scored 14 points and Yuk Seo -young (IBK IBK) scored 10 points, but it was not enough. Japan’s triangular squadron Wada Yukiko (18 points), Satoyoshi (17 points) and Akimoto Miku (11 points) showed off their firepower and drove Korea.
With the defeat of the match, Korea ranked 1 win, 9 losses, and the lowest in the league. The lowest team at the league will not participate in the next year’s competition, but in order for Korea to remain in the league, you must win at least one win. Korea remains only Bulgaria (19th) and France (18th) on the 12th. It is necessary to take at least one win over two teams with relatively weak power to expect residuals.
