Seong Seung -min (Korea National University), a group of five types of women, won the runner -up in the World Cup Finals.
Sung Seung -min scored 1,443 points in fencing, swimming, obstacles, and laser runs (athletics + shooting) in the 2025 International Fifth Cup Final Women’s Finals held in Alexandria, Egypt, on the 6th, and ranked second after Paris Dacalil (Egypt, 1,470 points).
Sung Seung -min, who won the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, became the first winner of the Asian female athlete.
This is the first time that a Korean player has entered the medal in the World Cup after the horse riding out of the five modern sports after the Paris Olympics.
In the tournament, which was played by the World Cup leaders, Sung Seung -min played second place (282 points), third place in fencing (238 points), and 14th obstacle (299 points).
In an interview with UIPM, Sung Seung -min said, “After the Paris Olympics, I started to train for obstacles for only 6 to 7 months.
In the men’s department, Seo Chang -wan (Armed Forces Sports Forces) ranked fifth (1,546 points).
