The Croatian national basketball team will play the third match of the qualifying group for EuroBasket 2025 against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday at 20:00 (SK3).
So far, Sesar’s chosen ones have recorded a victory and a defeat, just like our neighbors. The match was announced by the head coach of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adis Bećiragić.
“As always, expectations are high. We want to win, and I’m sure Croatia wants the same. We have our own qualities that we will try to use, while diminishing Croatia’s qualities. This is how we work, this is how we think, this is how we prepare. It is difficult to beat a team like Croatia, but regardless of all the problems we have, I think that the joint play and energy in defense will decide.
Good defense, counterattacks and good energy on the pitch can be crucial. If one of the basketball players rebounds with individual quality, all the better for us. Most of these players have been playing for the national team for years, we know each other very well and I think we all look forward to gatherings and matches.”said Baćiragić.
“We have to use togetherness in all matches. The matches of the national team are at a higher level, especially since we are playing for our country and it is really a special moment for all of us. I know, for the most part, almost the entire Croatian national team. They have quality players who play in the ABA league and they all know each other. I think it is important that we stick together, that we stick to the plan we agree on for the match and there will be no problems”, concluded Bećiragić at the press conference before the match.
