‘Invited by the senior vice president of NBA Judge’ → KBL held an international exchange camp for advanced league referees

(Sports Seoul | Reporter Park Yeon -jun) KBL will invite Monty McCarcin, senior vice president of NBA referee and training, from 26th to 29th.

Monty McCherchin is a veteran referee who has played more than 1400 regular leagues in the NBA, 169 playoffs, and 16 NBA Finals. After retirement, he oversees the education, evaluation, and system operation of the NBA, WNBA, and G -League trials, and is a prestigious referee expert around the world.

The camp will be composed of nine sessions for four days from 26 to 29, and will be practiced by analyzing actual judgment cases and sharing the latest trends based on the philosophy and know -how of NBA referee.

KBL expects that the camp’s professionalism and competence will be further strengthened through this camp. In the long run, KBL referees are officially dispatched to overseas leagues to build an international stage experience, and aim to produce the next -generation referee to play on the global stage following Hwang In -tae, who is currently active as an NBA referee. duswns0628@sportsseoul.com
